About Us!

The Lone Star Corvair Club was issued its charter by CORSA (Corvair Society of America) June 6, 1979, with the initial beginnings of organization in October 1978.  The Club was formed and officers elected in May, 1979. Our Creed: We are  a chartered chapter of the Corvair Society of America and shall be dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of all Corvair cars, trucks and related
vehicles.

Our current annual dues are $18 payable in January and meetings are held 4th Saturday each month (starting 9/28/19), no meeting in December.  We will meet at the Golden Corral in No. Austin: 125 N Lamar Blvd, Austin TX 78753, 10:00 AM.

Our logo was designed in the mid-1979 by John Wilson's son Keith.  (John is  a founding member and a current active member.)  The membership wanted a logo that told who we were and what we stood for so Red, White, and Blue were selected as the colors because they are used on the US flag, the Texas flag, and the CORSA emblem.  On the logo is the  outline of Texas, and a star was placed to represent our location within the state, and on maps the star represents the state capitol which, of course, is Austin.  To the right of the state is a large 'A', which also represents  Austin and one right leg of the 'A' is made to represent the Monza fender emblem.
